What is it like to do your system development project at Sitevision?
We asked our awesome SUP students Louise and Molly to share what the project they're working on involves and what their days look like here at Sitevision. It's so great to have them here – and equally great that they want to share on the blog ⭐️
Hello everyone!
We are this year's SUP students who are carrying out our system development project here at Sitevision during the spring semester. Our names are Louise and Molly and we are 22 and 23 years old, respectively, and we are studying our last semester of the Systems Science program at Örebro University. In addition to studying, we both like to get involved in student life so if we are not at Sitevision you will find us at the university.

Portal for partners
The goal of the system development project we are doing is to digitalise the process where partners to Sitevision manage their business and leads. This will be done by creating a portal where partners themselves can log in to get an overview of their ongoing leads, that is, their projects and business, and update information about them.
We start from a requirements specification and a prototype. Technically, the solution will be implemented by developing a WebApp and a RESTApp. This involves both backend functionality for integration and frontend functionality with user interfaces built in React, which will be used by customers when they visit the portal.
The REST app will be integrated with Salesforce, which is a service that provides an API that will be used to retrieve and present information about customers.
Meeting goals and learning new things
We are currently in our fifth week in the office and we think it's getting more fun and better every day. Something we think is extra good here at Sitevision is that we have had the opportunity to attend some of Sitevision's own training courses, we have good access to resources (even our own space and coffee machine 😉) and very accessible supervisors.
We feel very welcomed at the office and get a lot of support from our mentors Gustav and Emil. We hope that after this semester we have reached the goals we set with the project, but above all that we feel that we have learned a lot!
