The results of dSam are presented – and Sitevision is there
Sitevision participates in the Digital Collaboration Tool of the Future, which is the closing conference for the dSam project – digital collaboration platform for the public sector. We are there to exchange knowledge, get the latest news and meet other actors working towards the same goal.
eSam will present results from the dSam project, focusing on concrete tips and experiences on choosing and purchasing legal and appropriate collaboration tools. Some public actors will also be present to share their challenges.
Because that's what it is: a challenge.
Earlier this year, the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) conducted a survey in the framework of the European Data Protection Board cooperation. Seven government agencies that handle large amounts of personal data participated in the survey.
Stina Almström, a lawyer at IMY who prepared the Swedish report, said:
– All Swedish authorities participating in the survey state that it is challenging to find cloud services that are compatible with data protection regulations. It can often be difficult to negotiate with cloud service providers and thus difficult to influence the design of or conditions for the use of cloud services.
A safe choice
Sitevision is closely following eSam's reporting to be an obvious alternative to the US cloud services and an obvious collaboration platform for the recommended products. Already now there are ready-made integrations to GDPR-secure products recommended by dSam and more are on the way.
