Almedalsveckan
Come and meet us at this year's Almedalsveckan, june 22–26 2026 in Visby.
See you at Almedalen?
This year, we will once again be present at Almedalen Week, and this year we are highlighting an issue that concerns us all, even if it is rarely noticed in everyday life.
Who is actually responsible for Sweden’s citizen data?
The digitalisation of the public sector is advancing rapidly. More and more interactions between citizens and public institutions are taking place digitally, from applications and decisions to important societal information. At the same time, large amounts of sensitive data are being handled.
This raises a central question: who bears responsibility for the infrastructure that manages society’s citizen data?
In a time of increasing cyber threats and a more uncertain global landscape, digital sovereignty is becoming increasingly important. The public sector is facing a crossroads: should public services be built on global platforms, or do Swedish and European alternatives need to play a greater role?
The discussion takes a practical perspective: how municipalities, authorities, and providers can work together to create a digital infrastructure that both enables innovation and ensures the secure handling of citizens’ data.
As digital platforms become part of society’s core functions, the issue is no longer just about technology, but about trust, responsibility, and control.
Come say hi!
Will you also be at Almedalen? Come and listen, share your perspectives, and be part of the conversation.
