At SkiStar, both office staff and employees work out in the mountains – two completely different working days that place special demands on communication. Creating a unified workplace where everyone feels included has been a constant challenge. In the past, private mobiles and apps such as Messenger and WhatsApp were used to communicate and get important information out, which both created ambiguity and risked losing important communication. In many cases, people also relied on physical binders to access procedures – something that was both impractical and difficult to keep up to date.
– We realised that we were requiring our employees to create private accounts to access job-related information. It didn't feel right, and it was also a security risk," says Carolina Edlund, HR specialist at SkiStar.
The need for a common platform, where everyone can find answers to their questions directly and feel part of the company, became clearer than ever.
