Preva's new intranet – as much space as content
With 800 employees spread across more than 20 locations in Sweden, Norway and Denmark – and with consultants on assignment at customer sites – Preva's new intranet had a clear purpose. To be a gathering place that meets the needs of many different employees. That's why Prevas chose Sitevision as their intranet supplier.
Background and challenge
Preva's new intranet needed to be both easily accessible and personalised. In addition, there was a desire among employees to easily access the management system via the intranet. This was also important for the organisation's editors, who otherwise saw the need to update information twice. And when it came to content, it was just as important as design. The content should be up-to-date and relevant – the design modern and user-friendly. The ambition was to create an intranet to be proud of.
Agile project
Putting together a strong, dedicated team was the start of it all. Helena Lundin, Communications Manager at Prevas, explains:
– Together with B3 Engage and Simplitude we started a creative collaboration. A big challenge was to start with a blank piece of paper and very quickly we realised that an agile approach would be the best way forward. In shared workspaces, we sketched out ideas that would solve our needs for a new intranet. We then took the ideas further in design and content. Throughout the project, we kept an open mind and aimed to achieve something new, fresh and modern. As project manager, I felt confident all the way.
– We use Sitevision for the external website and quickly decided to build the intranet in the same platform. Sitevision is user-friendly and easy to invite new editors to. We felt comfortable from the start and could skip putting energy into getting to know a new product.

Solution
Personalised from the start
Prevas' new intranet – which after an appreciated internal competition was named Hello Prevas – gives the visitor a personalised experience from the start. The start page is customised by region and role. There, employees are greeted by news tailored to their target group, integrations with email, calendar and files – and of course links to other important systems.
Employees no longer have to worry about where to find information on how to alert their office, what the terms and conditions of employment are, or where to find material aimed at managers. Everything is available and displayed depending on who you are and where you work.
Powerful and smart search
The management system (QMS in Sharepoint) was also integrated into the search function. This way, the same information does not have to be in several places with the risk of old versions being published and forgotten. And it becomes easy to search and find. The search hits come from both content in Sitevision and the management system.
To make it clear, the search hits are divided into different categories: people, content, documents and management systems. Throughout the project, there was a strong focus on UX and an important part was that the search hits should be easy to overview.
– Even if not everything is on the intranet, employees can find their way to other systems or tools from there. The new intranet is a focal point that we can always point to, "go there and you'll find it". And if you miss something, give us feedback, comments Helena.
The result
Cheer and have your say
When Hello Prevas was launched in December 2021, it was greeted with many cheers and a lot of engagement. But the work didn't stop there. To continue to collect feedback and improve the intranet, all pages have a "like" function where the visitor can give a thumbs up or thumbs down and send a comment. This feature is used and contributes greatly to making the intranet more cutting edge.
And now what?
Well, now it's time for Prevas to review the external website. The project is already underway and it borrows some design and other elements from the intranet... Exciting!
